When he announced the Jubilee Year 2025, Pope Francis invited all the faithful to “fan the flame of hope that has been given to us” by becoming “pilgrims of hope.”  Here in the Diocese of Trenton we accept his invitation by enthusiastically supporting the Annual Catholic Appeal during this Jubilee Year.  As pilgrims of hope, we journey together, anchored in faith, and we are strengthened by the ministries that define our faith. Through the support of the Annual Catholic Appeal, we help our Diocese, parishes and Catholic institutions build a future of hope for one another as we fulfill the Church’s gospel mission to share Christ’s love throughout each of our four counties. 

By making a gift you make a commitment to become part of a shared mission that allows our local Church to warm the hearts of its faithful in the “flame of hope.”  Pope Francis has reminded us that “hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us (Romans 5:5).”  Through your support of this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal, become “pilgrims of hope” with me in our Diocese.
