We thank God today for the beautiful gift our children receive in Jesus Christ. We celebrate with great joy, together with their families, gathered around the altar, as they receive the Holy Eucharist for the very first time.
We thank our administrator, Fr. Chris, in addition to our deacons, Mr. Frank Crivello and Mr. Jim Knipper, for their guidance and example of faith to our children. We thank Mrs. Laura Sarubbi, Mrs. Kim Clauss, Sra. Sara Cortes, and Mrs. Jaime Gostkowski who lead our parish’s ministry of religious education with a great love of God and his Church.
We thank our children’s catechists and teachers who give generously, sharing the gift of faith and love of God with our children as they grow in knowledge and love of Him. We thank those who participated in this year’s sacramental retreats and all who have given of their time to form our children in faith including Mrs. Maria Broz, Mrs. Cassandra Crivello, Mrs. Caitlin D’Orlando, Mrs. Manisha Jethani, Mrs. April Readlinger, Ms. Ana Ramirez, Mrs. Deirdre von Roemer.
In a particular way, we thank our children’s parents and families. It is your faith and love of God that lead your child to the joy of this day. As parents, we pray you will establish your home as a domestic Church, where Christ is ever-present. We pray, too, that your child grows to seek the Lord, especially in the celebration of the sacraments.
We are grateful to Mr. Ernie Andreoli, Director of Music, and the wonderful cantors of the music ministry of St. Paul Parish. We are grateful to all those who serve our community in their liturgical ministries for making this a special and festive celebration for our first communicants, their parents, and guests.
