Summer Academy begins on Monday, July 20. At 10:00 AM we will have a parent meeting, where we will discuss the resources we will be using, and expectations for the 2-week program. If you had registered before July 17th, you should have already received an email with your children's catechist, digital book links and pass codes, and a Flipgrid identifier. This information will be required to participate in Summer Academy.
We will also post Flipgrid class links on the Summer Academy Page. You will need your child's personalized identifier to access these. Daily lessons will be posted as "topics". For instance Day 1- Chapter 1, and Day 1-Chapter 2. With each chapter there is a prompt to make a video, you can choose to participate in one daily. These are moderated by the catechists, and inappropriate posts will not be shared with the community. If you are uncomfortable making these, contact your catechist, and you can submit a written response.
Catechists may also post daily activities. We request that you submit any assigned work by 3pm on the day it is assigned. This will allow your catechists to review the work to mark your attendance for the day. You may also complete work ahead of time, but please check back to determine if any new activities have been posted.
If you have not received your personalized family email with this information, we may have an old email address, or have sent it to your spouse. If this is the case, please contact the Office of Religious Education immediately, and we will do our best to make sure that you have the information by Monday morning. Email [email protected].
We look forward to "seeing" you at the meeting on Monday.
